[0001] System and method for throwing a ball on a field of a playing field
[0003] Technique field
[0005] The present invention relates to a system and a method for throwing a ball on a field of a playing field. Likewise, the present invention relates to a playing field comprising a system for throwing balls on a field of the playing field. In one of its most preferable embodiments, the present invention relates to methods and devices for projecting balls onto a soccer field, for example, to reintroduce a soccer ball onto the field, throwing the ball close to the post and preferably in a direction. and / or a desired position, and preferably with a trajectory that is desired when this is required for the players to be able to play with the ball on the field.
[0007] State of the art
[0009] There is a great plurality of sports, ie games, which are played on corresponding types of fields using one or more corresponding balls. Typically, in these types of sports when a ball leaves the field of play, or when the ball enters one or more specific areas, usually the ball must be reintroduced into the field so that the player or players of the sport can continue to play with the ball. For example, frequently during a soccer game there is a need to throw a ball in the small area or into the corner area each time a ball must (re) enter the grass so that the players can continue with the game.
[0011] In sports such as football, currently the (re) introduction of balls into the grass during the game is done by ball boys who tend to adjust the speed of their own actions according to their thinking about the positive impact that this speed may have on the result required by the team that the ball boys support. For this reason, a system is needed that standardizes the speed of (re) introduction of the balls into the field, or at least offer control of said speed to the match officials, to ensure that the overall procedure is fairer for both teams, and to ensure that it is avoid unnecessary wasting of time during the match. Likewise, this system must have another very important property: that it is safe for the players, and / or the referees and / or any other person who may be on the field of play running, jumping, etc.
[0013] In the prior art, there are two categories of systems for introducing balls into a playing field, and these two categories exhibit very important differences between them that are related to the position and structure of the system, or at least to the position and structure of the ball. final part of the system that introduces the ball into the field, with respect to the level of the field surface. In the first category are surface systems, that is, systems where said final part of the system that introduces the ball into the field of play is constantly on the surface, that is, it is above the level of the upper surface of the field of the field. of game. An example of these first category systems is described in US patent application publication number US2017 / 0348582A1. This system, like the other systems of the first category, has a means of throwing the ball and these means are constantly above the field of the field. For this reason, usually these means, which are in a head that forms the final end of the system through which the ball leaves and is thrown into the field, are supported by a fixed and constantly superficial structure which can, for example, comprise one or more sticks constantly sticking out of the ground. It is obvious that such a structure could constantly prevent spectators from watching the match, and could be dangerous for players who by mistake or accident could touch it and damage it, especially when said structure was substantially close to or within of the area where the players play. As a consequence, the vast majority of systems in the first category, although they may be considered suitable for throwing a ball, They can also be considered dangerous for the players, and problematic for any person or party who is interested in the field of play containing a number of fixed surface structures that is the minimum possible.
[0015] On the other hand, there is the second category of systems to introduce balls into the field, this category is characterized by the fact that its systems, or at least the final parts of the systems where the balls come out on the field, are not constantly found. above the ground but below it. However, these systems of this second category are characterized by an additional fact: they do not have the means to throw the ball and to control and dictate the trajectory of the ball when it is thrown. That is, these second category systems can be substantially underground, and for that reason they exhibit less risk of players accidentally touching the systems. However, the main functionality of the systems of the second category is to introduce the ball into the field without throwing it, since these systems do not have the necessary means to launch the ball and control the trajectory of the ball. Two examples of underground systems that are configured to introduce a ball into the field without throwing it and without controlling its trajectory over the field, are described in a Chinese patent with publication number CN106512361B, and in a Chinese utility model with publication number Publication number CN206563467U. The figures in these two Chinese documents show systems that have an underground conduit through which balls pass, and this conduit ends in a flat platform that is not covered by other elements and that is configured to receive a ball on its surface at a low point. from the ground, and vertically raise the ball to the surface of the field of play by introducing the ball at a second point that is vertically above the first point and at the level of the ground surface. A player can go to this second point to pick up the ball from there. Then, by means of the system platform the ball is introduced into the ground, but it is not thrown on this ground, and the trajectory of the ball cannot be controlled, and as a consequence the ball cannot be thrown in a required direction e.g. towards the goalkeeper or another player in a soccer game. Likewise, it should be noted that in the systems of the second category the platform is moves vertically by means of a lifting tube that is vertical, that is, it is perpendicular to the surface of the court, and when the platform is inside the ground, e.g. when the platform is at the first point to pick up the ball, the mouthpiece The top of the lift tube remains open, forming a hole and this implies that there is a danger that a player will fall into the hole. So, the systems of the second category, in general, lack the functionality of being able to throw the ball in a controlled way, and they are not safe for the players.
[0017] As mentioned, the prior art does not describe systems, and corresponding playing methods and fields, that offer a solution to the problem of how a system can be obtained that is safe and that at the same time can introduce the ball by throwing it and offering the functionality of controlling the trajectory of the ball. The present invention solves this problem.
[0019] Brief description of the Invention
[0021] To solve the problem raised, the present invention presents a system, a method and a playing field that are suitable for the ball to be introduced by launching in a controlled manner and with a controllable trajectory on the surface of the field, and at the same time being safe. the players, without having or producing or needing the existence of holes in the field, which are constantly left open, of fixed structures that constantly protrude from the ground or of other serious dangers.
[0023] The present invention in a first aspect is a system for throwing a ball on a field of a playing field, where the system comprises:
[0024] an outlet chamber that is configured to receive a ball therein when the outlet chamber is in a first position that is under the ground;
[0025] an outlet conduit that is configured to contain the outlet chamber and allow movement of the latter through the outlet conduit to a second position that is on the ground and in which the ball can exit from the exit chamber to the field;
[0026] outlet chamber movement means, connected to and configured to move said outlet chamber between at least the first position and the second position,
[0027] where the outlet chamber comprises an outlet mouthpiece and ball launching means arranged in said outlet chamber and configured to apply pressure on the ball forcing it to leave the outlet chamber and enter the field by means of the outlet mouth.
[0029] All the elements of the system according to the first aspect of the invention are essential elements which collaborate with each other to ensure that the system is safe for game players and to ensure that the system can efficiently, reliably and in a well controlled manner launch a ball. A first characteristic of the system is that it comprises an outlet chamber that is configured to receive the ball inside when the outlet chamber is in a first position that is under the ground, that is, it is below the level of the ground surface. in which the players play. This first characteristic substantially differentiates the present invention with respect to both categories of the systems of the state of the art that are described above in the present specification. In the present invention, the system, by comprising a chamber that can receive inside and raise the ball to ground level, differs from the systems of the first category of the state of the art, which have an exit chamber which is fixed and / or is constantly on the ground. Likewise, the system of the present invention by comprising said outlet chamber differs from the systems of the second category of the state of the art, which comprise simple platforms that receive and raise the ball, and do not comprise complete chambers which receive in inside the ball and they rise completely thus raising the ball and protecting the latter against adverse factors eg against weather conditions such as strong winds.
[0031] As mentioned above, the outlet chamber comprises an outlet mouthpiece and means for launching the ball, and these elements between them they have very important synergistic effects. The launching means being comprised in the exit chamber can be raised and lowered by raising and lowering the exit chamber, and thus can be introduced onto the field only when the ball is to be introduced and thrown into the field. Likewise, the launching means are substantially protected by the rest of the chamber which can protect said launching means against various adverse factors such as meteorological conditions, eg rain and strong winds, and voluntary or involuntary impacts by objects such as pieces of metal. grass, dirt particles, or other objects such as debris left by people or moved through the air. For all these reasons, optionally and preferably, the launching means is at least partially inside the chamber, and more preferably it is completely inside the chamber, in which case said means have no protruding parts of the chamber. camera. In these cases, the launching means is protected by the chamber in a similar way to the way in which the ball is protected by the chamber when it is inside the chamber. Likewise, it should be noted that the outlet mouthpiece serves so that the ball can exit the chamber when it is thrown by the launching means, when the chamber is in said second position. It is clearly understood from the above that when the exit chamber is in said second position, the exit mouth, or at least the portion of said mouth where the ball comes out, is on the ground, that is, it is above the level of the ball. upper surface of the field of play on which the game is played. Likewise, it is important to mention that the outlet mouthpiece and the launching means have important synergistic effects between them, which are as follows.
[0033] A first effect is that the trajectory of the ball that is thrown, due to the pressure it receives by the launching means, can be affected by the exit mouth, especially when accidentally said launching means dispose the ball towards the edges of said mouth. output. This for example can happen in case there is an error or failure in the launch media or when these media are not used or are not configured correctly by the system user. In these hypothetical cases, the starting bit would affect, at least partially, the final trajectory of the ball and prevent the ball from being thrown in a completely undesired direction e.g. towards a player who did not anticipate that the ball would, for a failure or error in the launching means, he will launch himself. Another possible synergistic effect is related to the fact that the outlet mouthpiece in general can function as an air duct, and for that reason the air pressure in the chamber can increase when the launching means are activated by pushing the ball, which can released towards said outlet mouthpiece, and in this case the force under which the ball is thrown onto the field is affected by the pressure applied by the throwing means, and can also be affected and / or increased by the possible shape and / or o exact position of the outlet mouthpiece. Considering the above, it is understood that it is important that the presence of the launching means in the system is accompanied by the presence of the outlet mouth, and that both are included in the outlet chamber.
[0035] As mentioned above, the system of the first aspect of the invention comprises the outlet conduit and the outlet chamber movement means. Obviously in the present invention the outlet conduit has dimensions and a shape that allow the displacement of the outlet chamber between at least the first and second positions. Also, optionally and preferably the outlet conduit is vertical, that is to say perpendicular to the surface of the ground where the game is played and on which the second position is. This optional configuration makes the system easy to install. In non-limiting examples, the outlet conduit is a conduit that comprises, or is made of, a plastic material, such as PVC (polyvinyl chloride), or a metal such as stainless steel or aluminum.
[0037] It is obvious from the foregoing that the outlet conduit has a shape and dimensions that are suitable for the chamber to be able to move between the first and second positions. Optionally and preferably when the outlet chamber is in the first position, the entire outlet chamber is located substantially under the ground, that is to say under the upper surface of the ground that surrounds it and optionally next to the outlet conduit. Thus it is achieved that the exit chamber, when it is in the first position and does not throw the ball, does not act as an obstacle in the field. For the same reason, optionally and preferably the outlet conduit is completely below the surface of the court, that is to say the upper end of the outlet conduit does not protrude from the surface of the playing field. Also, optionally and preferably, in the system the outlet chamber comprises a finishing piece that forms the upper stop of the outlet chamber and has an upper surface which is configured to have a similar texture and be level with the ground as the one. surrounds and limits said upper surface when the rest of the outlet chamber is under the ground. Thus, on the one hand, the advantage is achieved that the system is hidden and safe without impeding the game when the ball is not inserted, and on the other hand, the advantage is achieved that the upper stop prevents the formation of a hole in the field that it could be dangerous for the players. In the optional case that the ground, i.e. the upper surface of the playing field ground comprises grass or is finished with grass, optionally the finishing piece comprises or is also a piece of grass, preferably of the same type as the grass of the terrain, so that the texture of the finish piece is similar to the texture of the field. This increases the security and quality of the system and allows the system not to impede the game.
[0039] The movement means of the outlet chamber are suitable, that is to say configured, to be able to move the outlet chamber between the first and the second position, and this means that the movement means must have sufficient power to move, that is to say lift and go down, the exit chamber, even when the latter comprises the ball and the throwing means. Optionally and preferably the movement means comprise an electric motor, and a movement transmission system connected with said electric motor and with the outlet chamber, and configured to transform the rotary movement of the motor into a linear movement of the movement chamber. outlet which travels through the interior of the outlet conduit. The motion transmission system may for example comprise one or more gears, eg one or more pinions, connected to a bar which can be connected with the motor so that the motor causes the bar to rotate, and the movement transmission system can also comprise a chain connected with said gear / s and with the camera of exit. Preferably and optionally the movement means comprise an electromechanical system that controls the movement and exact position of the outlet chamber according to instructions from the user of the system, and this electromechanical system can comprise a central processing unit (CPU) which controls said motor. electric. To make the system more compact and tough, the means of movement are optionally located inside the outlet conduit.
[0041] Optionally, the launching means comprise a pneumatic system that is configured to provide pressurized air or gas in the outlet chamber to launch the ball. This optional feature has the first advantage of being robust or requiring little maintenance since pneumatic systems generally do not contain as many moving elements as other types of systems, eg as mechanical systems. In a non-limiting example, that is to say in an optional variation, the pneumatic system comprises at least one nozzle that is arranged in a position within the chamber, and said position is substantially behind the outlet mouthpiece and the ball which is located between the outlet mouthpiece and the mouthpiece when the ball is in the outlet chamber and is properly positioned to be thrown by the system. Said optional nozzle is supplied with pressurized air through a pneumatic conduit which is connected to it and is included in the pneumatic system in the same optional variation of the system. Optionally, the pneumatic conduit can be fed through bottles containing pressurized air or gas, or through a pressurized air or gas generation unit, where said bottles or pressurized gas or air generation unit can be included in the chamber. outlet or connected therewith, that is to say connected with the pneumatic system that is comprised in the outlet chamber.
[0042] Alternatively, in another optional variation of the system, which is even more preferable, the launching means comprise at least two wheels that can rotate and each one comprises an edge, and where said wheels are configured so that the ball is inserted between them. and is contacted by said edges, and are configured to launch the ball as they rotate, propelling the ball by rotating said edges. Optionally, any of said wheels can be turned by a corresponding electric launch motor connected to the wheel. The motor is optionally activated and controlled by a motor rotation control system, said control system controls the rotation of the corresponding wheel which in turn controls, at least partially, the force applied to the ball and the trajectory of the ball. the same when the launch media is activated. In the case where there is more than one electric launch motor, each one being connected with the corresponding wheel, the activation and rotation of each motor, optionally, is controlled independently from that of the other motors; in this way the angular momentum of the ball, which can affect the trajectory of the ball, can be controlled by the launching means. More preferably and optionally, the launching means comprises two wheels, and even more preferably, they comprise two electric launching motors, each of which is connected to a corresponding wheel and configured to control the movement of said wheel.
[0044] In order to be able to more precisely control the trajectory of the ball when the last one is thrown, optionally the system comprises first directional control means, which are configured to control a horizontal direction towards which the ball is thrown. Optionally and preferably said first directional control means are configured to rotate the exit chamber and / or the launching means and / or the exit mouth with respect to a first axis of rotation, where the first axis of rotation is perpendicular and / or non-parallel to the playing field surface; thus the horizontal direction in which the ball is thrown can be controlled. Optionally and preferably the first directional control means is configured to rotate the outlet chamber and / or the means launch on a vertical axis and in this case it is preferable that the system has an optional additional feature which is that the longitudinal direction of the outlet conduit is also vertical. The first directional control means may, for example, comprise a first rotational gear system, and comprise a first directional control electric motor that optionally is connected to the outlet chamber and / or below or inside or to the outlet chamber side. Preferably, the first directional control electric motor is connected to the first rotary gear system, and is also configured to surround the latter, which may be connected to the outlet conduit and configured to rotate the outlet chamber relative to the conduit. output. Optionally and preferably, the first directional control means is configured to rotate the launch means and / or the exit chamber and / or a part of the exit chamber when the exit chamber is in any position, for example when it is in the first and / or second position.
[0046] In order to be able to more precisely control the trajectory of the ball that is thrown by the system, the latter optionally comprises second directional control means, which are configured to control a non-horizontal direction towards which the ball is thrown. Optionally and preferably said second directional control means are configured to rotate the outlet chamber and / or the launching means about a second axis of rotation, where the second axis of rotation is parallel and / or non-vertical with respect to the surface of the playing field; This controls the non-horizontal direction in which the ball is thrown. Optionally and preferably the second directional control means is configured to rotate the outlet chamber and / or the launching means about a horizontal axis, and in this case optionally and preferably the longitudinal direction of the outlet conduit is vertical. For example, the second directional control means is optionally configured to rotate the wheels of the launching means about a geometric axis that is parallel to the plane of the wheel disc, when the launching means comprises said wheels as mentioned in the variations described above. The second means of Directional control may for example comprise a second rotation gear system and / or a second rotation transmission system, and comprise a second directional control electric motor optionally located in or within the outlet chamber. In this case, preferably the second directional control electric motor is connected with the second rotation gear system or with the second rotation transmission system, and is also configured to surround the latter, which is optionally connected with the means of launch and is configured to rotate them. Optionally and preferably, the second directional control means is configured to rotate the launch means and / or the exit chamber when the latter is in any position, for example when it is in the first or second position.
[0048] It is contemplated that optionally the system further comprises a recording means that is configured to detect and record the presence of the ball in the system. The recording means optionally, and as a non-limiting example, comprise a photocell and / or a motion detector and / or a pressure sensor arranged at any point in the system where the ball can pass, and are configured to detect the presence or passing of the ball, and to transmit a corresponding detection signal which is preferably an electrical signal. By being able to detect and register the presence of the ball, the system offers the advantage of being able to notify the user when the system is completely ready to be used, that is, when the system contains the ball. This can prevent the system from being misused, which could prevent gambling.
[0050] Optionally, the system additionally comprises system control means configured to control the system automatically and / or under the manual intervention of a user. Said control means optionally and preferably comprise a general control CPU. The control means are optionally connected with any electrical or electromechanical element of the system, and for example with the launching means, and / or with the first and / or the second directional control means, and / or with the movement means and /or with the registration means, the command means being configured to control any of the aforementioned elements or others.
[0052] The system of the first aspect of the present invention is suitable for use in soccer fields since it offers all the functionalities and advantages that are required by the systems destined to be used in this sport. For this reason, and in relation to said first aspect of the invention, optionally the playing field is a soccer field, the ball is a soccer ball, and the field comprises natural and / or artificial grass.
[0054] Optionally, the system of the first aspect of the invention comprises transport means arranged under the ground, where said transport means comprise a first end and a second end which is connected to the outlet conduit, and where the transport means are configured to: receive the ball at the first end; driving said ball from said first end to the second end; passing said ball from the second end into the outlet chamber when the latter is in the first position. Indeed, the incorporation of the means of transport in the system offers the additional advantage that the ball can be introduced into the system from a point that is substantially outside the area where the players play. In a non-limiting example, the transport means comprise a simple conduit in which the ball fits and can pass from the first end of the simple conduit to the second end of the simple conduit, where said first and said second end are respectively the first end. and the second end of the means of transport. In a preferred variation of the last example, the simple conduit is parallel or inclined with respect to the level of the upper surface of the field of the playing field, and the second end of the simple conduit is a mouth which faces the outlet chamber and / or or the outlet mouth when the outlet chamber is in the first position. When the simple duct is inclined as mentioned above, preferably the second end is lower than the first end. Optionally, the system comprises means for introducing the ball, which are configured to receive the ball when the latter is entered into the system. Said ball introduction means are optionally connected with the first end of the transport means when the latter are included in the system. In a non-limiting example, the ball introduction means comprise an introduction conduit that optionally protrudes from the ground at a point on the ground that is optionally outside the area of the ground where the game is played, and said introduction conduit is partially inserted into the ground and is connected to the means of transport and configured to pass the ball that is introduced into the system to the last.
[0056] In the case where the system comprises the transport means mentioned above, optionally the second end of the transport means comprises a stay chamber configured to contain the ball before the ball passes to be received by the exit chamber. By using the stay chamber the ball is positioned in a position that is suitable for the ball to enter the exit chamber quickly and without error when the latter is in the second position. This improves the reliability of the system. Likewise, it is contemplated that the system, and for example the optional means of transport mentioned above, may at any time contain a plurality of balls; in this case and when the system comprises the stay chamber, the latter can allow a single ball to enter the outlet chamber at a time when the latter is in the first position.
[0058] In the event that the system comprises the aforementioned transport means, optionally the second end of the transport means comprises a ball lifting mechanism arranged just before the outlet conduit and configured to collect and raise the ball to a position that allows the ball to enter the exit chamber when the latter is in its first position. In the event that, for example, the second end of the transport means comprises the above-mentioned dwelling chamber, said dwelling chamber may comprise said lifting mechanism. The lifting mechanism can optionally comprise a platform that receives the ball and an electric motor. that connects with the platform; thus, it is understood that the lifting mechanism may be in the form of a mini-elevator. The lifting mechanism preferably raises the ball to a position where the ball faces the exit chamber so that the ball can be introduced into the exit chamber by preferably and optionally passing through the exit mouthpiece. It is important to note that optionally the exit chamber is configured so that the ball can enter the exit chamber when the latter is in the first position. Also, optionally the outlet chamber comprises an inlet mouth where the ball can enter the outlet chamber when the latter is in the first position. Also, optionally the outlet chamber comprises closing means, which for example comprise a door, and which are configured to close the outlet opening and / or the optional inlet opening, said closing means thus protecting the interior of the exit chamber in the event of adverse factors.
[0060] In the case in which the system comprises the aforementioned means of transport, the optional variation of the system is contemplated, where the terrain comprises a first part and a second part separated from each other by lines formed in the terrain and / or some barriers that are on the ground, and where the first end is in the first part of the ground and the second position of the exit chamber is on the second part of the ground. In the optional case in which the playing field is a soccer field, the second part is the area with the grass where the players of the soccer teams usually play and / or run when they look for and touch the ball during the game of football, and the first part is the area around the grass and the lines formed on the ground are the white lines of the field that define the various edges related to the rules of the game, such as the baseline, and the barriers can be or understand for example billboards. When the first end is in the first half, it is achieved that the introduction of a ball in the first end does not imply any danger for the players, and said introduction cannot prevent the match. In this case, optionally the system comprises the ball introduction means mentioned above.
[0061] Optionally, the system comprises a cover connectable with the upper end of the outlet conduit through which the outlet chamber passes when the latter moves between the first and second positions. Preferably the lid is configured to move by covering and uncovering said end, respectively allowing and not allowing movement of the outlet chamber towards the second position. Preferably the cover is configured so that it is level with the surface of the field of the playing field where the players play, when said cover is covering said end.
[0063] The present invention in its second aspect is a playing field that comprises a system for throwing balls on a field of the playing field, where the system is a system according to the first aspect of the invention and according to any of the examples or versions or embodiments of said system mentioned above.
[0065] To solve the same technical problem that is solved by the system of the first aspect of the invention, the present invention in a third aspect is a method for throwing a ball on a field of a playing field, where the method comprises:
[0066] -position in a first position that is under the ground an outlet chamber comprising an outlet mouthpiece and means for launching the ball arranged in said outlet chamber and configured to apply pressure to the ball forcing it out of the exit chamber and enter the field through the exit mouth, the exit chamber being configured to receive the ball inside when the exit chamber is in said first position, and the exit chamber being contained in a outlet conduit that is configured to contain the outlet chamber and allow a movement of the latter through the outlet conduit to a second position that is on the ground and in which the ball can exit from the outlet chamber to the ground;
[0067] -introduce the ball into the exit chamber;
[0068] -moving the outlet chamber to a second position using movement means connected with and configured to move said outlet chamber between at least the first position and the second position;
[0069] - use the launching means to apply pressure to the ball forcing it to leave the exit chamber and enter the field through the exit mouthpiece.
[0071] The method of the third aspect of the invention relates to the use of the system according to the first aspect of the invention and any embodiment of said system. The actions that are part of the method of the third aspect of the invention offer the same advantages and technical solutions that are described above in relation to the system of the first aspect of the invention. It is emphasized that any action described above in relation to the use and / or operation of the various essential or optional technical components and limitations of the system, may be comprised by the method of the third aspect of the invention, as an element of said method.

[0084] Detailed description of the invention
[0086] The playing field 4 shown in Fig. 1 comprises a system for launching balls on a field 3 of the playing field, where the system is a preferred embodiment according to the first aspect of the invention. Playground 3 in Fig. 1 is a preferred embodiment of the second aspect of the invention; in this embodiment the playing field comprises six ball launch systems, which are located approximately in the corresponding positions A1, A2, A3, A4, A5 and A6 shown in Fig. 1.
[0088] A specific part of the playing field 4 and its field 3 that includes the systems arranged in positions A1 and A2, and also includes the post that is located near the two systems, is shown in Fig. 2, where the surface of the field 3 of the playing field comprises grass which is indicated by the texture drawn in Fig. 2. Each of the systems in A1 and A2 is a system according to a preferred embodiment of the system of the first aspect of the invention. Fig. 2 shows that the system arranged in A1 comprises an outlet chamber 9, which is in the second position PB which is on the ground 3, and in which the ball can exit from the outlet chamber 9 to the ground 3. The system that is arranged in A1, also comprises means for introducing the ball 5, which are configured to receive the ball when the latter is introduced into the system; the system comprises transport means which are not shown in Fig. 2. The ball introduction means 5 are connected with a first end (not shown in Fig. 2) of said transport means.
